Knanaya Youth in Atlanta Creates History Again
ATLANTA: Knanaya Youths in Georgia (KCYL)should be very proud today as they proved themselves as champions of service to our community. The BLOOD DRIVE they organised on Sunday March 1, at Holy Family Knanaya Church at Rosebud Road was a success story from the number of donors who participated. Mr Athimattathil, President of KCAG who supervised the blood drive from LIFE SOUTH, exclaimed at the response as “awesome” and “Overwhelming”.
KCYL President Serena Arackal whose effort and hard work to organise this event successfully; welcomed the donors earlier in the church. She explained the big gathering the purpose and aim of this community service event and how such events motivates and build social conscience among youth. KCYL Secretary Abigail Kudilil who mobilised all the Youth support for this noble community service thanked all the donors and Life South for organising. The blood drive which started at 9.30 went on till 2.00 pm. 38 Donors participated in this second event ever organised by this community. The first Donor Sabu Vengalil said that it was a satisfying experience for him as his blood would help someone in need. Every donor received a free gift, snacks, free cholesterol and Hemoglobin screening.
